Harambee Stars Coach Paul Put on Monday tendered in his resignation, after a short stint at the helm of the team.
The coach, who took over from Stanley Okumbi led the team to last year’s CECAFA title and was preparing the team for the upcoming world cup qualifiers.
The coach cited personal reasons for his resignation, leaving the team at the helm of Okumbe once again.
However, the coach is remembered to have called on the improvement of the approach to the managing the team, as they prepare for the qualifications.
He made pleas to the country’s football governing body to effect better management and is said to have been demanding for a car and other provisions.
The coach was being paid by Sportpesa, but after their withdrawal from sponsoring local football is seen as another factor.
There are rumours though linking him to Guinea, where he has been promised to take up the same role he held in the country.
The Guinean coach was sacked after a poor performance in the CAF confederations, and the management is said to have sought for Put, whom they told to resign first before he was handed the job.
