Deputy President William Ruto could face now another battle to remain relevant in politics given his previous attitude on some leaders.
Prior t elections, Ruto fought a host of wars among them from his Rift Valley backyard and in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Mt. Kenya region.
And with Uhuru’s victory, Ruto is set to face a series of enemies who may be planning to take revenge on him based on his previous association with them.
“I think his politics ended on Tuesday due to his inability to associate well with many political players. That will cost him badly as Jubilee takes over,” says Dismas Mokua.
He adds: “People like Gideon Moi, Johanna Ng’eno, William Kabogo and Peter Munya will be on his neck. Uhuru will only concentrate to leave a good legacy behind.”
Slightly before elections, Kabogo warned that Ruto’s perceived support from Central Kenya should not depended on adding that he is ready to fight with him.
At Rift Valley, Baringo senator Gideon Moi has insisted that he will be ready to presidency in 2022, a move that further complicates Ruto’s plans.
