[Photo: Courtesy]President Uhuru Kenyatta took    his Jubilee Party campaigns to Machakos county, Tuesday, accompanied by his deputy, William Ruto.Despite his supporters' anticipation that he area governor Dr Alfred Mutua, would be part of the team, he was nowhere to be seen.Machakos residents who support Dr Mutua and Jubilee Party, had expressed optimism that Uhuru would be hosted by the governor, as he traverses the Ukambani county.However, Uhuru was received by area Jubilee party leaders and aspirants, who later accompanied him to touring various areas such as Kangundo and Yatta.According to reports, Mutua whose Maendeleo Chap Chap Party supports Kenyatta's re-election bid, was not allowed to accompany Kenyatta, because the visit was 'purely Jubilee affair'.The governor who is facing opposition from Nasa's Wavinya Ndeti, left the Opposition to form his party, which endorsed Kenyatta for a second term bid.Oftenly, Mutua accompanies Kenyatta in tour of the county, whenever he visits.The governor's absence from the Jubilee team in the county, raised speculations.
