Nyamira residents will have to wait longer before area governor John Nyagarama buries his son, a family source has revealed.
Mr. Ndemo Nyagarama succumbed to acute meningitis on Monday which reportedly precipitated cardiac arrest.
And with the governor still indisposed in the US, one of his son is said to be preparing for an exam in the next three weeks in India.
"Doctors have advised the governor to stay a little bit longer as he undergoes medication. He has been unwell for weeks.
"Also, one of the brother to the deceased is in India and is due to sit for exams. This even makes the burial committee to wait before commencing the plans," said the source.
For months now, Nyagarama has been in the US where he is undergoing treatment on failing limbs.
And for all these weeks, his deputy Amos Nyaribo has been in charge of the county and his leadership has seen a crackdown on ghost workers.
