Despite maintaining that he still supports opposition NASA, Ex-Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto will after all support Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection, says lawyer Moseti Moseti.
He lost his seat to former National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Sotik MP Joyce Laboso and has since insisted that he will support her leadership.
But Moseti says should Rutto challenge Uhuru, t could further deal him with a huge setback since it will be viewed as a rebellion to DP William Ruto.
“He has no option other than snubbing NASA having seen how his people voted. For the sake of his political future, he will probably keep silent or back Uhuru.
“You don’t need rocket science to know that. If he was at NASA, you’d have probably heard his colleagues issuing apologies on his absence. He is not in NASA,” he further says,
Throughout the Supreme Court petition, Rutto kept a low profile, a move he later on defended that he had to ‘orient’ his constituents to embrace new leadership in Bomet.
Also, Rutto said he had no plan of joining Jubilee adding that he remained a leader of CCM party, which garnered a number of seats in South Rift.
