Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho can not make it politically by his own, this is according to Philip Mbaji.
Days after Joho stood by his ODM party leader, NASA coalition's president Raila Odinga following a meeting that created confusion in the coalition, the Coast-based political analyst said at no time will Joho oppose Odinga.
Joho, in a statement on Saturday, supported the meeting between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday last week despite their political differences which saw the two attack each other publicly.
At one point, Uhuru blocked Joho from attending an event in Mtongwe and warned him against following him around.
Joho has as well been a strong critic of Uhuru's Jubilee administration and has always asked NASA supporters and especially coastal people to rally behind NASA's agenda.
The former Mvita governor and two-time county boss however changed tune saying it was time for peace between the opposition and Uhuru's government for the sake of the people.
According to Mbaji, whatever Odinga says is what Joho would follow for his political survival.
"He cannot go against Raila... he was attacking Jubilee because Raila was also attacking Jubilee," said Mbaji, adding that "Once Raila decides to support Uhuru, Joho has no option but to support the decision of his boss."
During an interview on Monday, the analyst indicated that Joho depends on Odinga to survive in politics since he was the one who molded him politically.
