Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho has confirmed that he will be attending the Fifth Annual Devolution Conference.

Joho who was re-elected for a second term during the August 8, 2017 general elections, said he would represent his Mombasa electorates in the annual event.

The conference brings together all the 47 governors, their deputies, Cabinet Secretaries, political leaders including MCAs, departmental officials, government institutions among others.

 This even as the Fifth Annual Devolution Conference planning committee technical leads met on Tuesday, March 26 with Five Sector Cabinet Secretaries for a briefing meeting at Fairmont Hotel, Nairobi. 

The Four Cabinet Secretaries were, Mwangi Kiunjuri - Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Eugene Wamalwa - Ministry of Devolution and ASALs, Adan Mohammed - Industry and Cooperatives, James Macharia - Transport and Infrastructure and Sicily Kariuki - Ministry of Health.  

The technical leads briefed the Sector Cabinet Secretaries on the Fifth Annual Devolution Conference scheduled for 23rd-27th April 2018 at Kakamega High School - Kakamega County.

Mombasa is among the counties that have benefited from devolution system of governance since its inception in 2013 when Joho was first elected as the first Mombasa County Governor.
