ODM leader Raila Odinga had to temporarily wait outside Wiper headquarters to allow his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka cool angry supporters who had blocked him from accessing the facility.
Odinga, who finally accessed the premises, was set to chair a meeting that also involved elected leaders on NASA coalition on Wednesday.
And a video circulating online shows a resilient Kalonzo pleading with Wiper Supporters to allow ODM members in, a incident that lasted a couple of minutes.
“On the other side we are busy fighting Jubilee and here you are putting us under pressure. I am asking you to leave so that I handle the issue at a later date,” Kalonzo is heard saying.
He adds:”Do not embarrass my guests because it is a great honour coming to our offices. We have some other pressing issues to talk about.”
But it would later emerge that Wiper supporters wanted Odinga to prevail upon Irshadali Sumra to drop a court petition again the current Emabakasi South MP Julius Mawathe of Wiper.
Mawathe defeated Sumra in August 8 elections but the latter has decided to challenge the outcome at Milimani law courts.
