At South Mugirango on Sunday, nominated senator Millicent Omanga, in company of Matiang'i, launched a vicious attack on Arati, causing fierce online debates.

"I hear there is a man who installed himself as spokesman yet he is not around. He was informed by his Chinese wife," she said.

While Matiang'i has gone silent over the matter, the source adds, he has however taken control over a number of elected MPs who are spearheading the agenda.

To unite the community and speak as one voice, an initiate started by Arati, Matiang'i is said to have summoned council of elders and asked them to denounce Arati.

"By the virtue of his position in government, he was unhappy with Arati's steps. He believes that he deserves to be our de facto spokesman. That is why he is responding through proxies," said the source.

In March, Arati was installed as spokesperson in a function that largely attended by youthful population in Bobasi.

While their game plans still remain anonymous, both leaders are said to be planning to run for Kisii gubernatorial seat.
