The governor’s re-election bid has been bolstered after the senator was chosen to lead the campaign team in the region with the aim of preventing any form of fallout from taking place ahead of the August general elections.

Kidero was campaigning for 13 other aspirants of ODM, which led to complainants by supporters of Wiper who alluded that he was frustrating them by promoting the six piece form of voting as we head to the election date.

A few months ago, Muthama sparked a storm in the alliance after he engaged in a war of words with Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.

The senator accused the former vice president of imposing leaders on the people. This came after Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti defeated Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala during the nominations.

The senator was supporting Kiala and clearly he was unhappy when he lost to Ndeti. Muthama has, however, made a U- turn and agreed to back the governorship of the Wiper aspirant before August.
