[Photo|ODM]The National Super Alliance (Nasa) was forced to change tune, over its elected MPs decision to attend the first 12th Parliament sitting of both Houses, Senate and National Assembly.President-elect President Uhuru Kenyatta called for the convention of the sittings by the members, but Nasa dismissed him, saying the order was unlawful, since as the president-elect in the August 8 polls, his victory was being contested at the Supreme Court, by the Nasa team. They said he should have waited at a court verdict was made, before making the directive. To protest this, Nasa said its elected MPs would not attend the sittings. However, the sittings were meant for the all elected and Nominated lawmakers to be sworn into office, and at the same time, elect speakers and their deputies, for both Houses.
