NASA leadership in Kisumu at past. [Photo|Nasa coalition]The 'major announcement' by the NASA coalition's Raila Odinga, now lies in uncertainties. This is after the Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet, announced that he will not allow any illegal gatherings.NASA has planned to make an announcement, today (Wednesday), a day to the controversial fresh presidential election, by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, which the coalition withdrew from.Raila Odinga Secretariat head, Dennis Onyango, said the announcement would be made at the historic Uhuru Park grounds, starting 2pm.However, Boinnet's warning, could see the announcement event called off, incase the coalition has not notified the police about the gathering, which will see hundreds of supporters in attendance.According to Boinnet politicians planning to have public gatherings, would have contravened Public Order Act, especially after the government declared Wednesday, a public holiday. “No person shall hold a public meeting or a public procession except in accordance with the provisions of this section. We are set and ready to offer policing services for the remaining segment in the national elections calendar," said Boinnet, on Twitter, Wednesday morning.
