Two days after spending in police cells, Public Service Principal Secretary Lilian Omollo was on Wednesday rushed to hospital after reportedly collapsing.
The embattled PS was wheeled to Kenyatta Hospital private wing after she seriously fell sick and she could not walk, reports the Standard.
Witnesses say that she was trembling and was briefly seen by the prisons doctor before she was rushed to KNH.
"Given her condition, she was tired after sitting in court for over 12 hours. She had to be admitted," said a witness.
Mrs. Omollo and NYS boss Richard Ndubai, who have been charged for theft of Sh9 billion from the kitty, have since stepped aside to pave way for investigations.
While appearing in PAC, Omollo dismissed claims that money had lost through dubious tenders adding that she was ready to be charged.
