The recent trip by president Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto has informed ODM leader Raila Odinga's Sunday tour to the vote rich region.

Early this month, Uhuru compansated hundreds of Post election Violence victims by releasing at least 800 million that was shared among Nyamira and Kisii County victims.

And on Thursday, Deputy President William Ruto toured the region with an estimated 280, 000 voters where he pledged to ensjure a number of infrastructural projects are done by Jubilee government upon reelection.

But Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has dismissed inroads made by Jubilee administration and vowed to neutralize the recent tours by Kenyatta and Ruto.

"They have been bribing voters in recent months but Gusii people are clever. We cannot allow them to make political capital out of nothing. We shall ensure they are completely locked out of this region," he said.

Bosire added: "The Prime Minister will visit to talk to our voters and probably tell them how Jubilee has lied to our people. He will address the issue of IDPs and give them a clear road map."

While at Nyamira, Odinga will first hold a rally at Ikonge market, then Ekerenyo before a mega one at historical Kebirigo market. He will also tour Makairo before another rally at Bosire's home turf at Rigoma.

In 2013, Odinga scored over 70 percent of Kisii and Nyamira votes and is out to defend his perceived stronghold with now a voting population of at least 800, 000 votes.

At Nyamira, Ruto also toured Ekerenyo region before holding another rally at Bosire's Manga home, a reason why the MP is keen to ensure the region remains intact in NASA.
