NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has for the first time reveals the reason behind his sobbing eyes whenever he appears on public functions.
Rarely does Odinga appear in functions without a piece of towel which he uses to wipe his eyes repeatedly due to their watery nature.
And on Monday, Odinga blamed state authorities for brutalities they subjected him to during the fight for pluralism where he served several detentions.
“I understand Kenya better that any of my competitors. The pain we have all shared and the struggle we have kept in years cannot go in vein.
“If you notice, may eyes are always watery due to long hours in darkness in was exposed to by KANU government in regimes and I am always affected by much light,” he told the nation.
In a debate watched by millions of TV and Radio audiences, Odinga promised to tackle food shortages and strengthen the economy should he be elected.
Conspicuously absent during the debate is President Uhuru Kenyatta who had until late hours indicated is possibility of attending.
