National Super Alliance chief Raila Odinga was expected to grace an opposition rally held at Baba Dogo.

However, Raila failed to show up along side other NASA co-principals.

The meeting was led by Siaya Senator James Orengo.

Speaking during, Orengo reveled that Odinga was unable to attend the rally due a high profile meeting with foreign dignatries in Nairobi.

The meeting comes amid an ongoing government crackdown on organizers and facilitators of last Tuesday’s ‘oathing’ ceremony.

Orengo maintained that the opposition will not be cowed despite the ongoing crackdown.

“We will not act in fear. We have the strength to push this country forward. We were arrested during the Kenyatta regime, the Moi era and some of us were also arrested during the Kibaki regime. So we cannot be intimidated by Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Orengo
