Ford Kenya leader Moses and Chama Cha Mashinani Leader Isaac Ruto were conspicuously missing at an event in which Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Delegates endorsed their party boss Raila Amolo Odinga to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto during the forthcoming general elections.

According to Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi also NASA Co-principal. Mr Wetangula had traveled to Uganda on personal engagements while Mr Ruto was his Bomet backyard on official duties on behalf of his party as the race to state becomes tougher following nominations.

Speaking at the rally, Mudavadi apologized on behalf of the two leaders, adding that they are still part of the team.

He said: “Let me convey the apologies of Moses Wetangula, who is currently in Uganda on personal engagements. Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto could not manage to attend this event because he had official engagements in his home county,” he said, as quoted by eDaily.

The endorsement of the former prime minister comes a few weeks after he was named the NASA  flag bearer alongside Wiper Party Patron Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate.

The alliance has expressed confidence that they will floor President Uhuru Kenyatta and his brigade when that time comes.
