President Uhuru Kenyatta’s impeding tour to Nyamira County could be met with resistance following the unsolved IDPs fiasco, despite his efforts to settle the matter.

Jubilee is keen to score from the county, which has traditionally leaned towards opposition ODM party despite inroads made by Jubilee.

Although it is yet to be confirmed, an earlier circulation showed that the president would visit the region on Wednesday as grab for over 270,000 votes continues.

Last month, Kenyatta disbursed an approximated 800 million shillings to be divided equally among over 15,000 internally displaced persons, who happen to be victims of 2007/08 election skirmishes.

Sadly, chaos erupted both in Kisii and Nyamira Counties with people believed to be imposters allegedly being placed on top of beneficiary lists.

County Commissioners from both counties were forced to halt the exercise due to the controversy and Sate House has remained mum over the issue.

Protests were witnessed in those counties as those believed to be genuine IDPs accused a section of politicians believed to be leaning towards Jubilee of allegedly scheming to defraud them.
