[Photo: PSCU]President Uhuru Kenyatta held a meeting with all candidates running on Jubilee Party tickets for elective positions in Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia Counties.Deputy President William Ruto and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale also attended the meeting at the Eldoret State Lodge, Saturday morning.The delegation from Uasin Gishu was led by governor Jackson Mandago and included Gladys Boss Shollei (Women Representative candidate) and Prof Margaret Kamar (Senate candidate). All Jubilee nominees for the positions of Member of Parliament and Member of County Assembly attended the meeting as well.The delegation from Trans Nzoia was led by the Jubilee Party nominee for governor, Kakai Bissau, who was accompanied by Michael Mbito (Senate Candidate) and Janet Nangabo (Women Representative nominee). The meeting was also attended by all jubilee candidates for the offices of MP and MCA in Trans Nzoia.President Kenyatta urged the leaders to mobilise voters to turn out in large numbers so that Jubilee wins with a decisive victory.“Let us make sure that on the day of voting every voter comes to vote because a vote has value only when it goes into the ballot box,” said Uhuru.Mandago who faces opposition from Bundotich Buzeki (Independent candidate) and Bissau, from incumbent governor Patrick Khaemba (Ford Kenya) assured that they would work as a team with the other nominees to ensure that all residents rally behind Jubilee Party’s re-election.
