The seasoned anchor will take over as deputy state house spokesperson and deputy head of PSCU with Manoah Esipisu remaining as her boss.

Kanze,39, will be in charge of leading the core communication teams including digital, messaging, research, branding and press.

"With expansive newsroom leadership experience, Dena has been tasked to focus on the president's brand positioning, media relations and messaging," read a statement from State House.

Former KTN News anchor Munira Mohammed has also been elevated to deputy head, PSCU and head of presidential library.

Further, she will also be in charge of broadcast and media production as Uhuru seeks to deliver his four main agendas.

This comes at the time sources claim that Uhuru may have fallen out with the team led by Dennis Itumbi and Munyori Buku leading to their excommunication from State House.

"The president believes the two women will bring diversity, dynamism to the PSCU whilst improving overall media relations with external stakeholders," added the statement.
