Chief Justice David Maraga may be in trouble should President Uhuru Kenyatta win in October fresh repeat presidential elections, says Moseti Moseti.

In what has been termed as intimidation on judicial organs, Uhuru has however maintained that the Supreme Court overturned the will of the people in what he terms as ‘judicial coup’.

And Moseti now contends that Maraga’s job could be at the mercy of Uhuru, who has a tyranny of numbers at the National Assembly.

“He seems annoyed with the four judges and I don’t see them surviving should he win. His victory means massive revolution in the apex court.

“It may not be easy to remove them but with parliament, he will use intimidation by coming with a host of allegations against the CJ using his proxies,” he further says.

Already, three petitions have been launched against three judges, with Maraga’s petitioner; Ngunjiri Wambugu forced to withdraw due to pressure within Jubilee cycles.

To make the majority judges look faulty and malicious, Moseti says, Uhuru may depend on detailed dissent judgments by Judges Njoki Ndung’u and Jackton Ojwang’.
