Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti, who is eyeing the Machakos governorship seat, made her way out Serena Hotel during the unveiling of the team to oversee the registration and naming of the National Super Alliance (NASA).
Reports by the Daily Nation indicate that Wavinya was forced to bolt out of the meeting after her demands to be treated as one of the NASA principals were rejected.
Wavinya has affirmed that she will not fold up her Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) Party before the next general elections but she will back the election of former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka if he is appointed the flag bearer.
Speaking during the meeting, Cord leader Raila Odinga said that NASA is an all inclusive movement with a mission to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto during the next general polls.
“It carries on board groups including trade unions, the business community and employers, civil society, self-help groups, women and youth organisations, chamas (welfare clubs), transport associations, religious organisations, student organisations and individuals, ” he said as quoted by Nation.
Other opposition leaders backed his sentiments saying that they will work together to ensure that UhuRuto does not retain power come August.
