Religious leaders have decried an increase of witch doctors in the country.
Jesus Celebration Centre Bishop Thomas Wakala, has raised concern over the number of witch doctors flocking to the country in the run up to the August election.
The Bishop said the booming business has prompted witch doctors to travel from neighbouring Tanzania.
Politicians in the country have on several occasions been accused of using black magic to win elections.
Bishop Wakala revealed that politicians have been traveling to Malindi on several occasions to secure the services of the witch doctors.
He cautioned the electorate against accepting food and gifts from politicians, arguing that they may have been subjected to rituals, Kenyans.co.ke reports.
According to the daily, Quick Kanyamasyo, a witch doctor, revealed that demand for the services is high, adding that he can attend to 300 clients on a good day.
“The politicians have started coming and the number will increase when the campaigns intensify,” said Kanyamasyo.
He, however, declined to reveal the identities of the high profile politicians who have sought his services.
