Presidential offices will be shifted from State House to Harambee house after all should Raila Odinga win in October, the opposition leader has reaffirmed.
For over five years now, Uhuru Kenyatta has been using state house as private offices instead of the traditional Harambee house.
In an interview with KTN on Tuesday, Odinga said State House should solely be used to host state events as prescribed in the law.
“State House is solely, meant to host state events. When the president is working from there, he does so in capacity as Head of State,” he said.
Odinga added:”I will shift the government offices to Harambee House because that is where the offices should be located. Uhuru Kenyatta is even using State House to host campaign meetings.”
To ease unnecessary traffic jam within the city centre, Uhuru shifted his offices from Harambee house and has been operating from the house of state.
The two political adversaries are set to meet once again for the third time in less than five years following the nullification of Uhuru’s August victory by the Supreme Court.
