Boda boda operators in Rhonda estate have called on the county government to expedite the ongoing road renovation so that they can continue smoothly with their business.
Speaking Monday, the operators lamented that the perennial digging of the road by earth movers was hampering their business.
"We are very happy with this project but the pace and manner in which it is being done is worrying us. They keep digging it up, making transport very difficult," lamented Dancan Kiage.
His position was shared by Erick Makori who added that they were now being forced to use alternative routes which are not only dilapidated but equally far to ferry passengers.
"Currently we are really unhappy because we are spending a lot of fuel to ferry passengers because of the state of our roads. We appeal for the constructors to up their game," he said.
However, Patrick Lumumba, who is overseeing the project, said they are working hard to complete the work.
