Residents of Rhonda estate in Nakuru Town West sub-county have hailed the police following improved security in the area.

The residents said increased police patrols in the area had improved security in the ever-volatile area charecterised by break-ins and mugging. 

"Lately, we have been experiencing relative calm thanks to enhanced security patrols and we really thank the police for this," said James Munyeki.

His sentiments were echoed by Tom Ondiek who added that the improved state of affairs had boosted trade in the area.

"These days shops operate past 7 pm which was never the case. We laud the police for this good gesture. 

 Mary Kariuki, however, said there was need for increased partnership between residents and the police to safeguard the new found scenario.
