Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, was involved in a near-fatal accident on Monday evening.
This is after he was flung off his bicycle and fell onto a pavement near his home head first, according to the BBC.
Branson and his sons, Holly and Sam, were cycling as part of a month long preparations for the 'Virgin Strive Challenge' when the accident occurred.
He however cracked his cheek and tore a ligament though he confessed that when it occurred he thought he was going to die.
“I really thought I was going to die. I went flying head-first towards the concrete road, but fortunately my shoulder and cheek took the brunt of the impact, and I was wearing a helmet that saved my life," said the 66-year-old multi-billionaire in an interview with edaily.com
