A boda-boda rider was on Friday morning found dead on the side of the road in Riana area Kisii South Sub County.
According to eyewitnesses, the body of the unidentified rider was discovered by passersby early in the morning.
"I was on my way to Nyamira market early in the morning when I spotted the body lying down and when I approached the man was not responding. I immediately raised alarm to attract locals who arrived at the scene and found the rider dead,” said Nicholas Omoke, a witness.
Omoke said they called police officers from Gesonso who arrived at the scene to collect the body.
Emmanuel Rono one of the police officers said the deceased had no physical injuries.
“We can’t establish what caused the death because the deceased body didn’t have visible body injuries. He might have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped in the area,” said Rono.
He added that members of the public whose relative may be missing should report to Gesonso police station to claim the body.
Rono said the body was moved to Kisii teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
