The body of a boda boda rider who went missing a week ago was found in a thicket on Sunday morning.
Gilgil police boss Sarah Koki said a search team that included boda boda riders and police officers stumbled on the body after a three day search.
Koki said police officers have started investigations to establish the killers.
"The law will catch up with the killers. Officers will increase patrols in the area to boost security," said Koki.
She urged the riders to be careful on who they carry as customers.
"Killers most often pretends to be customers, therefore, I call on riders not to carry anyone on their motorbikes," she said.
Koki said the incident comes barely a month after another boda boda rider was killed in the same area.
She said a meeting will be held with the riders and police officers to chart a way forward.
