Bodaboda riders in Kisii County have threatened to hold a series of demonstrations as from today over claims that police officers were harassing them.
The riders led by their chairman in Kisii County Gisore Orechi claimed that police officers were targeting them.
"They just make arrests blaming us for burning a certain car and most of those currently in custody are not even aware of what is going on," he said.
He accused the police for threatening to even kill some of them.
He wondered how the officers will protect them yet they had already turned against their operations.
"We tried to ask the county commissioner to intervene and help restore sanity but he chose to ignore us," said Mr Gisore.
According to him, all the bodaboda riders will be forced to participate in thhe demonstrations.
