Boda boda riders operating in Kisii County have been warned against twilight girls operating in the town.
Mike Mose, Kisii county boda boda riders’ chairman claimed that the riders are at risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases due to the increased number of commercial sex workers in the town especially at night.
He said riders should take care of their health.
“I wish to urge riders to take care because riders who operate at night are at risk of getting the infection from the twilight girls who are doing sex business in town,” he said.
Mose stated that the number of sex workers is on the rise in the town.
"Most sex workers are university students who are looking for money. Riders who won’t take in my advice will blame themselves when they will get sexually transmitted diseases and HIV,” he added.
He challenged riders to embrace safety to avoid unnecessary accidents on the roads across the county adding that anyone who will be found riding without the safety gears will be arrested and prosecuted.
