Most Rift Valley voters will support Raila Odinga and the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition in the August 8 general election, Deputy President William Ruto has been told. NASA officials in Rift Valley on Tuesday told the deputy president that area voters were warming up to flag-bearer Raila Odinga. They warned him to expect a shock during the general election. Ruto has been using Rift Valley voters, where he enjoys near-fanatical support, to support all candidates under the Jubilee Party ticket. The emergency of Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and Baringo Senator as leaders of Chama Cha Mashinani and KANU respectively has reduced the following that the former Eldoret North MP commands.Governor Rutto is a pentagon member in NASA, and supports Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka. Independent candidates in Rift Valley, who felt rigged out during the Jubilee Party primaries, have threatened to reduce the support the party has in the vote-rich region.
