Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto says vote rich Rift Valley region favours opposition coalition NASA than the ruling Jubilee administration.
In 2013, the region voted overwhelmingly in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta due to influence of his deputy William Ruto.
But the rebellion waged by other leaders from the region has reportedly neutralized DP Ruto’s influence in recent years.
“If he still thinks that we a sack of potatoes to be moved to his favourite destination then he should observe the mood on the ground.
“The Rift Valley people will not vote broken promises and he knows that. We are eager to restore development by voting a NASA government,” he added.
Since his acrimonious fallout with Jubilee leaders, Rutto has been leading onslaught against Jubilee administration.
Also working closely with him are Emurua Dikir’s Johanna Ng’eno and Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu who is vying governorship.
