Muthama-Kalonzo rift continues to widen after Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama failed to attend a media briefing led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday.
It is reported that Muthama instead attended Cord press conference at Capitol Hill where he was accompanied by Siaya Senator James Orengo and Tongaren MP Eseli Simiyu.
Thia comes days after Kalonzo rebuked Muthama for warning Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana of a fierce political battle if he did not fold up his Muungano Party to Join Wiper which did not go down well with the Wiper leader who immediately took Muthama head-on accusing him of using wrong language to woo the party’s support.
Wiper leaders, however, say there is no fallout between Muthama and Kalonzo, and that problems concerning them were manufactured by unknown forces.
