ODM leader Raila Odinga has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta against rigging elections adding that it won’t be ‘business’ as usual.
Arguably the top politicians of their time, the two are expected to face each other for the second time in less than four years.
In 2013, Odinga accused Kenyatta of rigging the election and subsequently appealed at the Supreme Court, a case which he eventually lost.
“No one is dictating judiciary from our side. We are only trying to block rigging avenues which they have been using for years,” he said.
He added: “I want to warn Kenyatta against rigging. Kenyans are tired with bungled polls in every five years. Never again shall we accept rigged elections.”
The closest Odinga came to being president was in 2007 when a number of local media houses projected him as winner.
To seal alleged rigging loopholes, Odinga obtained court orders which compels IEBC to adopt results announced at the constituency level as final.
