Residents in Rioma village have asked Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to move with speed and transfer all police officers at the police station.
Led by one James Atandi, the villagers claimed that security officers in the region were colluding with criminals to commit crime.
"The police officer attached to Rioma police station can't be trusted. We suspect that they are teh reason crime has increased in the area," said Mr Atandi.
He further claimed that most of the criminals who have been arrested in the area were being released in unclear circumstances.
Mr Atandi accussed Kisii County commissioner Godfrey Kigochi for giving them a deaf ear because he had not ensured that the officers serving at the station are transfered.
"Despite our several calls that the police officers are transfered the county commissioner has not acted. It is so sad," said Mr Atandi.
