Spermicides are said to bar unwanted pregnancy which is right to some extent, however the risks associated with them have devastating consequences.

They do not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
Spermicides can cause sexually transmitted diseases since they are not designed like condoms. Condoms usually bar passage of sperms and transmission of associated maladies. Unlike condoms, spermicides are inserted vaginally. In this case, you may be victimized by STDs because of having an unprotected sex.
They may irritate your genitals
Spermicides are made of different chemicals that are hazardous in nature. Regular use of spermicides can cost you. They may cause irritation of the genitals which are discomforting and a nuisance.
Cloudy or bloody urine
Bloody urine is the result of many diseases. For instance, bloody urine is attributed to kidney stones. The stones usually maims linings of the urinary tract hence causing blood in the urine. However, apart from kidney stones, spermicides can cause bloody urine as well.
