Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has said that his opponents in the ODM Kakamega gubernatorial primaries fizzled out of race after they feared his political dominance in the county.
Oparanya said this on Monday after the party gave him a direct nominations ticket following failure of the party to receive applications for Kakamega governor nominations from other persons.
The ODM co-deputy leader also argued that because ODM is the biggest affiliate party in the opposition outfit NASA, he is now prepared for his opponents who include Senator Boni Khalwale (Ford Kenya), Michael Osundwa (ANC) as well as Mabel Muruli (Jubilee).
“NASA is a house where ODM is the big brother followed by ANC, Ford Kenya and Wiper, but Moses Wetang’ula is not in the NASA ticket race. The number is narrowing down,” he said when he made a stop-over in Malava subcounty.
