Currently, there is high tension in Mathare, Nairobi following the killings of 4 people in Riverside area, Ruaraka.

Unknown people killed the four, among them a woman early on Sunday morning.

But, Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome has denied that the killings are associated with ethnic clashes.

Koome said security has been restored in the area after residents blocked Outering road that paralysed transport.

He said police have launched investigations into the killings to arrest the culprits.

NASA leader Raila Odinga is expected to visit the area later today.
