Speaking on Tuesday, some of the residents said that the roads might even get worse when it starts raining.

"The contractor are not putting enough murram and the result will be the worsening of the roads when it rains. Can they do some quality work?" Steve Kibe, an animal feeds seller says.

Another added, "The feeder roads here are impassable. They are full of potholes and we are always in the garage for repairs," John Kihiu, a businessman said.

The farmers have voiced their concerns too.

"They need to put a good drainage system to give roads a long life. We farmers are suffering huge losses when taking our products to the market. We want our MP to intervene," Joyce Wairimu said.

The contractors on their side have said that they are still in the initial stages of construction and residents should be patient with them as much is yet to be done on the said roads.
