Road engineering works have begun at Kinyui-Kalala river - Mbuni roads after the tarmacking of the roads was commissioned by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya Uhuru Kenyata in the last two weeks in the presence of Matungulu Mp Stephen Mule.
The initiative was launched to help reconstruct the major roads that have been used by farmers and business people in the region to transport their goods and services on their daily economic and social activities.
The roads are a major link between Matungulu east ward & Matungulu West ward whereby constituents will now be able to access either side without going all the way to Tala.
This dam which had been promised by many people in the region and expressed their joy towards the project.
''Thanks for encouraging the people of Katine. Alex can confirm that Katine area as a whole had lagged behind in almost everything and has been known all for the wrong things like illicit brews but the Best Professors will very soon come from here,'' said one of the residents who asked for anonymity.
The residents of Matungulu will now be able to achieve fast delivery of goods and services after the completion of the ambitious long-awaited project.
