The government has started making changes along the Salgaa stretch on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

This after an uproar over the number of crashes being witnessed along the notorious blackspot.

On Friday, Kenya Highway Authority started erecting bumps along the steep stretch which is known for trucking left on freegear.

Though residents call for the setting up od a dual carriageway, they said the erection of speed bumps will see motorists reduce their speed along the areas.

Transport PS John Mosonik has already promised that up to Sh500 million will be diverted to the Salgaa dual carriageway.
