A section of Migosi residents in Kisumu have demanded to know the amount of money allocated by the county government towards the development and repairs of the roads in the area.
The residents complain of poor repairs being done on the road and accused the county government of corruption and underdevelopment.
Migosi World Vision Residents Association representative Ronnie Owuor told this writer on Thursday that the road from Carwash Junction to Aliwa area has been repaired by the county government but in a shoddy way.
Owuor said that the roads were dug, filled with stones and later levelled with sand and tar. He said that the job was poorly done by the contractors and demanded to know how much was allocated towards the road repairs.
Carwash Residents Association Secretary Elias Ogutu asked the county roads CeC Hanif Rana to explain why the road construction and repairs were shoddily done and the amount of money allocated towards the project.
“The county executive responsible should explain why roads cannot be repaired well in Kisumu and exactly how much is allocated towards such projects in order to edge out corruption.”
