Rogue drivers in Kisumu County have been put on notice for their recklessness which is putting the lives of other road users at risk.
The county Roads, Transport and Public Works Chief Officer Samuel Ondola warned that any driver who will be found driving carelessly will be arrested and arraigned in court.
Mr Ondola said the county government is committed in taming careless drivers in the county who are putting the lives of passengers and other road users at stake.
"As a county government, we are committed to end this menace of carelessness in our roads. The government will not relent in its quest to bring back sanity to our roads after many years of negligence that has claimed lives of many people," said Mr Ondola on Tuesday.
He also said the county government through his office is in the process of putting road signs in all the major roads of the county and especially Kisumu town to help guide drivers to make informed decisions while driving.
Mr Ondola further fired a warning shot to all the traffic police in the area who take bribes from road users saying the county will not tolerate such behaviour.
