The County Government of Nairobi intends to pursue waste management and infrastructure development in the next financial year according to the county's governor, Mike Sonko.
This will be pursued in 17 sub-counties ravaged by bad roads and garbage, twin problems that have put the governor in the spotlight.
''This coming financial year, we will focus on ridding our estates of solid waste and also ensure that the bad roads are repaired. We will provide a lasting solution to the waste problem,'' the flamboyant governor said yesterday at City Hall.
Nairobi County government has been on the spot over poor waste management and dilapidated roads.
