Residents of Nyamarianyi village were shocked to wake up and find the chairs missing.

This happened just a day after Rev Tom Atege together with other faithful donated chairs to the church over the weekend.

"After the event, we took the chairs to pastor's residence since it could be safer than leaving them in church. Unfortunately, the thieves broke into the house and stole 30 chairs leaving us with 15 chairs," Mr Denis Nyabuto said.

According to him, members of the church had not even used the chairs before the thieves made away with them.

"Am praying that those who stole the chairs, should not have peace till they return the plastic chairs back. The cry of old men and women cannot go down without haunting the thieves," he added.

The area chief Amos Nyaribo announced that investigations had kicked off into the matter.
