Police on Thursday night intercepted a break-in attempt by suspected robbers in Hardy Estate.

The incidence which took place at around midnight occurred at Sichuan Huash Enterprises located along Karongo Road.

Police rushed to thew scene after they were alerted of an ongoing break-in.

“As the officers arrived at the gate a thug who was a sentry fired at the officers. The officers shot back but the gangsters managed to escape towards a nearby bush. Area combed but no arrest or recovery was made,” a police report said as quoted by Nation.

The suspects made away with an unknown amount of money and a laptop.
