Four armed thugs have been shot dead on Thursday morning.

The four were gunned down at Nairobi’s City Cabanas, in Embakasi area.

Two pistols and 24 bullets were recovered from the suspects.

The police said that the four were wanted criminals who had murdered a businessman last month.

"The suspects are part of a five-man gang operating between Thika and Nairobi. They were killed at 3.30am when they tried to shoot at police officers," said Noah Katumo, the head of special crime prevention unit.
