Controversial blogger Robert Alai has expressed his support for the Luhya community pushing for unity though contradicting with the choice made by the elders to have Mudavadi as the spokesperson.
Speaking via his official Facebook page a day after COTU Chairperson Francis Atwoli installed Mudavadi as the Luhya spokesperson, Alai insnuated that the community had more capable leaders than Mudavadi.
He further noted that Mudavadi is not one to see beyond the political schemes of a disciplined and non-alcohol consuming William Ruto.
"Nothing wrong in Luhyas trying to unify behind an individual. I just don't think that Mudavadi will manage to unite them. He is too indisciplined and suffering from alcohol addiction. You seriously think that Mudavadi will see beyond the political schemes of a disciplined and non-alcohol consuming William Ruto?..." the blogger wrote.
He further suggested former ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba for the post, were he, Ababu, mature enough.
"Ababu can be a great choice for Luhya unity. The problem is that he is still young and hasn't learnt the art of patience," Alai added.
