Controversial blogger Robert Alai on Sunday announced that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will be the first casualty of President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga's agreement.
In a tweet, Alai explained that Odinga was keen about reforming IEBC adding that changes to the electoral agency had been included in the agreement.
"First casualty of the Raila - Uhuru agreement is IEBC. Agreement include having only one commissioner in IEBC. Baba is really serious about the deal," Alai posted.
Meanwhile, President Kenyatta and Odinga met at Harambee House on Friday where they agreed to strengthen devolution and the economy.
The meeting elicited mixed reactions with a section of leaders welcoming the agreement while others condemned it.
NASA affiliate parties noted that they had been sidelined and were not consulted by Odinga before the meeting.
Reports indicate that top opposition leaders will hold a summit meeting on Monday to discuss the way forward.
